The machine design project involved developing a four-bar linkage as a four-person team to hit a randomized set of buttons quickly, aiming to score as many points as possible. Collaborating with my team on this project was a enjoyable and enriching experience. We engaged in task delegation, future planning, and hands-on learning, which made the project both exciting and interesting.
Assisted in CAD creation of a four-bar linkage.
Optimized transmission angles using MATLAB.
Machined and waterjetted aluminum links with precise tolerances for accurate assembly alignment.
Designed an electric circuit for two solenoids, a servo motor, and a DC motor.
Wrote and optimized a PID controller to actuate the linkage in its motion.
